A very serious case seems to be being investigated by the Limassol Police as early last night two Egyptians allegedly tried to kidnap four underage boys and persuade them to get into the vehicle they were riding in.

Police have arrested the two foreigners from Egypt and are investigating a kidnapping attempt.

Specifically, according to the Police, shortly before 20:00 in the evening in the Old Port Square, a vehicle approached the four minors who were walking in the area. The two passengers, according to the complaint, approached the minors and tried to persuade them to get in the vehicle with them, in order to give them sports shirts of the famous Barcelona football player, Messi. The four boys resisted and fled.

The minors found shelter in a property and asked for help from the owner, explaining what had happened. The owner informed the Police, who located the two foreigners, aged 29 and 21, and proceeded to arrest them, based on court orders.

Their parents, who went for a walk on the Molos, were also in the area, who were informed and received the four boys. The two foreigners deny guilt.
