B9FB6FEB 3D5C 4B04 B09A A1433660D6B0 Self-restraint, PASSENGERS FROM UK

Following the discovery of a new strain of SARS-CoV-2 virus in the United Kingdom, for the precaution of Public Health, until there is more information from the scientific community, passengers arriving at Larnaca and Paphos Airports from UK airports, must remain in self-limitation for a period of 14 days or for a period of 10 days, provided that they undergo a molecular test with a negative result. It is understood that during the period of self-limitation, if symptoms occur, there should be contact with the Personal Physician for medical guidance.

The setting will take effect from tomorrow, December 21, 2020, at 6 p.m..

It is noted that this measure is complementary to the measure that is already in force for the presentation of a negative certificate of molecular test (PCR test) of 72 hours, while the sampling of passengers at airports continues.

The data are being evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Committee on Coronavirus, and any new suggestions that may arise will be announced.
