A 65-year-old woman was seriously injured in a car accident that took place yesterday in the province of Paphos. 

According to a written announcement of the Police, yesterday in a parking lot of a supermarket on the old road Limassol - Paphos, an 83-year-old permanent resident of Cyprus was driving his vehicle at reverse speed, when at some point under investigated conditions, in his attempt to leave the parking lot, 65 years old, who was walking.

The driver of the vehicle then collided with the vehicle of the 65-year-old, which was parked next to it.

The 65-year-old was transported by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Paphos General Hospital, where she was found to have a left knee fracture and remained in hospital.

Members of the Kouklia police station and the Paphos Traffic Police are investigating the case.
