Inflation rose 4,3% in October

Electricity and oil spurted inflation in October, which strengthened at a rate of 4,3%, according to the Statistical Service.

"The Consumer Price Index in October 2021 increased by 0,76 points and reached 104,79 points compared to 104,03 points in September 2021. Inflation in October 2021 increased at a rate of 4,3%", refers to an announcement.

For the period January-October 2021, the CPI increased by 2,0% compared to the corresponding period last year.

According to the Statistical Service, the largest changes in the economic categories compared to October 2020, were recorded in Electricity at a rate of 32,3% and in Petroleum at a rate of 25,8%.

Compared to the previous month, the biggest changes were presented in Electricity with a percentage of 6,3% and in the category Agricultural Products with a percentage of -5,8%.
