Only four-wheel drive vehicles or anti-skid chains are open to all roads leading to the Troodos Mountains, where there is occasional light snowfall, resulting in slippery roads.
A police statement states that in the mountainous Troodos, dense fog prevails, as a result of which the visibility for the passing drivers is dangerously limited.
Drivers are encouraged to drive at a safe, low speed, to keep a safe distance from oncoming vehicles and to have their headlights on, it is finally reported.
