A new batch of self test is expected today (7/1) in pharmacies.

Concerns about the increase in cases have led to a lack of self-testing in pharmacies from the very first days of their availability.

According to the Ministry of Health, new batches of self-tests arrived in Cyprus on Wednesday night and are expected to be distributed to pharmacies today.

About 300 thousand self tests will be given today in pharmacies.

It is noted that according to the new measures announced on January 5, an additional package with 5 self-tests will be given to people aged 18 and over who have completed their vaccination program or have a disease certificate (lasting 180 days).

The self-test package will also be given to children aged 12-17 who have received at least one dose of vaccine and have not passed the period required to receive the 2nd dose or who have a disease certificate.

Those citizens who did not receive the first package, will be able to do so until January 20, 2022.

The date of distribution of the 2nd self-test package to the citizens will be announced within the next few days.
