The Guild of Government Doctors (PASYKI) expresses intense concern about the new decree of the Minister of Health regarding the treatment of "cold incidents" in public hospitals.

In its announcement, PASYKI notes that it was not informed regarding the postponement of all scheduled surgeries related to cold incidents and adds that it does not understand what this treatment serves.

"With intense concern and concern we re-experience the provisions of the new decree of the Minister of Health concerning the treatment of" cold incidents "by health providers in general and Public Hospitals in particular", reports PASYKI.

The guild expresses "Concern, since it seems that after almost two years of the onset of the pandemic, we have gained experience only in relation to Covid patients", adding that "Unfortunately, there is particular difficulty and a lack of ability to dynamically adjust the number of beds, taking into account the scientific data that have been and are being formed, both internationally and locally.".

It still expresses concern "For the other patients and / or potential patients, whom we unfortunately continue to separate, without taking into account the consequences, since we did not take advantage of the time for better planning".

In conclusion, PASYKI expresses concern "for the future of Public Hospitals since the repeated destabilization and shrinkage of structures by the system has a direct impact on patients, the hospitals themselves and progressively on the entire health system."
