The Pancyprian Medical Association and the Cyprus Pediatric Association issued a joint statement regarding the fake news about the death of a 12-year-old after being vaccinated.
See it as it is:
"The Pancyprian Medical Association and the Cyprus Pediatric Society unequivocally condemn the spread of false and completely non-existent news about the alleged death of a 12-year-old child after vaccination.
Such unacceptable actions constitute acts of utter irresponsibility, spreading panic and endangering public health as the country tries to deal with the new wave and emerge from the pandemic.
Unfortunately, the unconscious are taking advantage of the psychological burden of the citizens in the worst way in order to circulate false information and to distract them from the real situation we are experiencing with this unprecedented health crisis.
The PIS and the PEK have already made a relevant complaint to the Police and are in
open line of communication with law enforcement authorities.
At the same time, they draw the public's attention to what is circulating on the internet and especially on social media, urging citizens to choose information only from reliable, official and authoritative sources. "
