Following the initiative of the Ministry of Health, in cooperation and consultation with the Cyprus Sports Organization, an action plan was prepared to lift the measures in the field of sports.
The plan was submitted to the inter-ministerial Technical Committee for approval and is expected to be submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval on Wednesday. The action plan envisions a resumption of sport in phases, starting on 8 February. In Phase A, individual training will be allowed with the participation of a maximum of 5 people, including the coach (dld 4 + 1) in open sports facilities (including outdoor swimming pools).
Gyms can operate outside the indoor gym with a maximum of 5 people, including the gym (4 + 1). Athletes and coaches must undergo a mandatory laboratory test and then on a weekly basis 50% of the people in the sports facility (under 12 years the test is not mandatory). Sending sms for sports (no. 6) - for minor children there must be a signed certificate for the transfer of the child to the sports area. The monitoring of the implementation of the measures will be done by the CMO and the competent Federations. In relation to the resumption of training of professional leagues (B ', C' Category, etc.) there is initially a suggestion from the TEU, but it will be finalized in the coming days.
