Rice withdrawn from the Cypriot market after the detection of ochratoxin A (FIGURE)

Consumers are encouraged to avoid consuming it and returning it to the places where they bought it.

The Ministry of Health informs the consumer public that the Health Services of the Ministry have received relevant information from the Dutch Competent Authority, through the Early Warning System for Food and Feed (RASFF), according to which the following food has been identified. A, at levels higher than the upper limits allowed by European Union legislation:

The Health Services of the Ministry of Health have already informed the food company that distributes the product in question in the Cypriot market, with instructions for immediate recall / withdrawal of the entire quantity of the specific batches.

However, because some of these batches of food may already be in the possession of consumers, they are urged to avoid consuming it and return it to the places where they bought it.
