The teachers welcomed the modification changes made by the Ministry of Education, in the circular for the four-month exams, with OELMEK deciding whether to proceed to extraordinary sessions, focusing on the decision of the Pancyprian Conference against the four months.

Speaking on SIGMA's noon show, "Mesimeri kai Kati", the assistant general secretary of OELMEK, Themis Polyviou, "we had expressed concerns about the circular. It is a fact that what we transferred to the Ministry of Education is actually being implemented. The changes have been made in order to make the implementation more practical and substantial ".

He added that, "there is the decision of OELMKE against the four months, however the data are changing. The organization will meet tomorrow and will decide whether there will be an emergency of the Central Board of Directors or the Pancyprian Conference and we will see how we move forward ".

For his part, the Head of the Coordination Service for the Four Months Examinations, Spyros Antonellos, stated that in the case of the amendments, the positions of OELEK, OLTEK and Paidovouli have been adopted.

"The change that is important and must be announced is that of the four months. Where there was the objection with the exams, since the four months will be completed faster. "Everyone will finish on May 15th rather than on June 10th," he said.
