With all scenarios open, the meeting of the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis with the Scientific Advisory Group for the treatment of the coronavirus is in progress, in the presence of competent Ministers.
The meeting, which began around 11:00 a.m., is being held at the Presidential Palace to discuss the possibility of taking new measures to limit the spread of the disease.
The final decision will be made on Thursday, at a meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Yesterday afternoon, the Commission met with the Minister of Health for an exchange of views and assessment of the situation.
Based on the epidemiological picture and the pressure in the hospitals, the possibility of extending the restrictive measures, in the form of a general lockdown, which will include a restriction on travel, with the possibility of resuming the sms, is not ruled out.
Based on the decree of the Ministry of Health, the existing measures expire on January 10.
