A teleconference was held today by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Mr. Prodromos Prodromos, with the members of the Advisory Committee on issues related to health rules and compliance with the Protocols, as well as the general operation of schools during the pandemic.
Specifically, Dr. Konstantinos Tsioutis and Zoe-Dorothea Pana, who also participate in the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health, the President of the Pancyprian Medical Association, Dr. Petros Agathangelis, the Secretary of the Anastasiadis, the Senior Medical Officer in the School Service, the Medical Services and the Public Health Services of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Irini Kotter and the Coordinator of the Population Control Program of the Ministry of Health Mrs. Karolina Stylianou. On behalf of the Ministry, the General Manager Mr. Kypros Kyprianou and the Head of the Office of Civil Defense, Safety and Health, Dr. Elias Markatzis participated.
During the teleconference, the Minister discussed with the Commission the health protocol, which was prepared by the Ministries of Health and Education and listened to the suggestions of the Specialists.
Specifically, the continuation of the rapid tests program in schools, the planning of workshops for vaccination of students in school units, the development of a training program by experts for students about the pandemic and the benefits as well as the usefulness of vaccination, the strengthening of protection measures in Primary Education, etc.
