The killer of the two Russian women in Asbestos gets 25 years in prison

Today, the Permanent Criminal Court of Limassol imposed a 25-year prison sentence on the perpetrator of the double murder in Amiantos.

The 32-year-old confessed to the two murders of the two women with the sentences imposed to run concurrently.

The two women from Russia, Khaiat Alraeesi, 43, and Mariia Gazibagandova, 33, were found dead on December 5, 2021 in a country house.

The chronicle of the murders 

The bodies of the two women in the case of the disappearance of 5-year-old Mariia Gazibagandova from the Republic of Dagestan and 12-year-old Khaiat Alraeesi from Syria were found buried in the courtyard of a holiday home in Lower Asbestos on 33/43.

The two women had been missing since 17/11 when their absence was reported to the police.

A 32-year-old Syrian confessed to the murder of the two women. The killer killed his victims and then dug a grave where he placed them. The perpetrator pointed out to the Police the burial place of the two women.

The 32-year-old claimed that he killed the two women because they were making fun of him. Two more people were arrested in the same case.
