Paphos Traffic Police is investigating a case of causing a car accident and leaving the scene.
According to the Police, yesterday at 16:30 in the afternoon, an unknown person was driving a vehicle with registration numbers KPB 761 in a parking lot near the tourist area of Geroskipou. At some point the driver lost control of his vehicle resulting in a collision with a parked car owned by a 57-year-old Greek Cypriot.
The accident caused only material damage to the 57-year-old's vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle then failed to stop and left the scene of the accident with his vehicle in an unknown direction. From the vehicle numbers it is stated that the vehicle belongs to a 30-year-old permanent resident of Paphos, it has been searched and has not been located yet.
The Police appeals to anyone who knows anything or realizes the specific vehicle to circulate to inform the Paphos Traffic Police. The exams continue.
