At least strange, if not suspicious, seems to be the attitude of the Police in the case of Svetlana Zaitseva, who is the main witness in the case of the racist incident against her in a parking lot in Larnaca. A few days ago, they arrested her and even demanded her eight-day detention, because a car that looked like hers had been seen near a house where there was a suspicion of an attempted burglary! The court "emptied" the Police and rejected the request, ordering the immediate release of the woman.

The case of Zaitseva appeared on various sites in a clearly racist manner, as if it were a "revelation" of the "criminal" personality of the woman who had denounced the racist attack against her. Zaitseva said in a video she posted on YouTube that when she learned that the police were looking for her, she went to the Limassol Police Department alone and asked for explanations. She was interrogated for 11 hours, searched at home and in her car… because a car that looked like hers may have been involved in a burglary case. The burglary that the Police were investigating had happened on December 27 and Zaitseva gave the car keys to a friend on December 29! When the court heard the request of the Police for her detention, she realized that there was no case and ordered her immediate release.
