Civil Defense provides recommendations to the public to minimize the negative consequences of strong winds with the aim of prevention and proper preparation to minimize the risks and negative consequences of strong winds.
According to its announcement, the Civil Defense recommends that citizens be especially careful in areas where strong winds occur, avoid unnecessary movements, avoid closed spaces and close doors and windows of their home or workplace.
It also recommends the removal from outdoor areas of objects that cannot be fixed (eg pots, tables, chairs, decorative items, etc.) and the avoidance of any type of work/energy that could cause a fire.
The recommendations also include avoiding sports in marine and coastal areas, passing under large trees, signs or balconies.
Finally, it is recommended that employers take all appropriate measures to protect workers who perform work outdoors.
