Changes are also occurring for the close contacts of cases, according to what the Council of Ministers decided this morning.

With case contacts weighing on the work of tracking teams, but also delays in performing PCR due to the large number of infections, the Ministry of Health revised the measures applicable to close case contacts in order to break the transmission chain.

In an effort to limit the spread, the Ministry of Health decided that all close contacts should be subject to rapid testing twice in five days.

According to the Minister, from January 6, close contacts, regardless of historical vaccination or disease, should be submitted to the 3i and 5th day from the last date of contact with the case, in a rapid antigen detection test Rapid test or in a laboratory test PCR.
