Messages from the incarcerated in the free society, on the occasion of the International Women's Day, are given through a video prepared by the Prison Department.
In a statement, the Prison Department said that on International Women's Day, "we are given the opportunity to bring to mind all the women who are the inspiration and driving force in life, a model for her various roles, achievements, dynamism, its successes, as well as countless other positive elements, with which it makes life and the world better, in which we all coexist without discrimination ".
"Respect for human dignity and diversity is one of the five values of our Prisons. All human beings are equal in human dignity, whether they are incarcerated or in a free society, and coexist through different but equally important roles. For the last 6 years in our Prisons, respect and understanding of diversity has been promoted and cultivated, with the aim of eliminating of discrimination and inequality ", he adds.
In exactly the same way, the Department of Prisons continues, a free society should promote respect for diversity in order to accept all its citizens - free and inclusive, as equals, without discrimination and inequality.
