Two people have been detained against whom an international arrest warrant has been issued for the crime of investment fraud, which was committed in China.
According to Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, two people were arrested, a 39-year-old and a 61-year-old, mother and son, who were wanted on the basis of an international arrest warrant by the Chinese authorities for the investment fraud crime, which was committed on March 1, 2013. and March 31, 2014 in China.
The detainees are expected to be brought before the Paphos District Court with a view to initiating extradition proceedings in the requesting country, which in this case is China.
