Parliamentary elections: The registrations in the electoral list until April 2

For the purposes of the forthcoming parliamentary elections 30th In May, the young people who will turn 18 have the right to register in the electoral listο year of their age until May 30, 2021, which is the date of the elections, the Election Service states in an announcement. The application must be submitted no later than April 2, 2021.

In its announcement, the Election Service announces that in the parliamentary elections, all citizens of the Republic aged 18 and over, who have their usual residence in Cyprus and are registered in the electoral roll, have the right to vote.

Therefore, all beneficiaries are invited to apply in time for registration in the electoral roll, so that they can vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections of May 30, 2021. Last deadline for applications is 2α April 2021.

It is further reminded that, after April 2, 2021, no new registration and / or change can be made in the electoral roll. That is why the new voters are invited to submit their application in time.

Application forms can be obtained from the local Offices of the District Administrations and the Citizen Service Centers, from the Election Service and the website of the Ministry of Interior at www.moi.gov.cy.

Polling stations abroad

The Election Service also announces that in the upcoming parliamentary elections of May 30, 2021, there will be polling stations abroad for voters who are already registered on the electoral roll or will be registered by April 2, 2021.

He notes that in order to enable the operation of polling stations abroad, a special electoral list is compiled, to which the data of the registered voters are transferred from the permanent electoral list of Cyprus, following a relevant statement submitted by the interested parties.

As the Legislation provides for the operation of polling stations abroad in cities where the number of interested voters exceeds 30 for each constituency, it is expected that polling stations will operate in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, London and Manchester.

The Election Service has prepared for this purpose special declaration forms, which are invited to holders of ballot papers who wish to exercise their right to vote abroad, to complete them properly and to submit them in time by April 2, 2021 at the latest.

Declaration forms can be obtained from the Embassies / Consulates of the Republic in Greece and the United Kingdom, the local Offices of the District Administrations and the Citizen Service Centers, from the Election Service and the website of the Ministry of Interior at www.moi.gov.cy.

The declarations can be submitted to the Embassies / Consulates of the Republic abroad, to the local Offices of the District Administrations and the Citizens' Service Centers and to the Election Service at the Ministry of Interior.

Submission of declarations for polling stations abroad can also be done electronically, through the website aps.elections.moi.gov.cy, which is also accessible from the website of the Ministry of Interior (moi.gov.cy).
