With the aim of accelerating the process of vaccinations and accelerating the achievement of the goal of vaccinating coverage of a satisfactory percentage of the population, the Ministry of Health has addressed the scientific companies of Personal Physicians, inviting them to express interest in vaccinating their beneficiaries.
Specifically, the Ministry of Health will supply the Personal Doctors who will express interest, with the necessary amount of AstraZeneca vaccines. The vaccines will be given, according to a schedule made by the doctors themselves, to beneficiaries aged 30 and over who wish.
Due to the storage and transport conditions of AstraZeneca, only the specific vaccine will be administered in the surgeries of the Personal Doctors who will express interest.
Until yesterday, a total of 224,352 vaccinations were given (25,5 doses per 100 inhabitants), of which 165,558 (18,8%) concerned the administration of the first dose and 1 (58,794%) concerned the administration of both two doses.
