The Ministry of Innovation, Research and Digital Policy reminds in a statement that, based on the provisions of its Regulation 86 on Infectious Diseases (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus) COVID-19) Decree (No. 46) of 2021, the validity checks of the European Digital Certificates COVID (EUDCC) for SafePass purposes, where required, is carried out exclusively with the application "CovScanCyprus". You may not use other applications that may be available on the Internet.
CovScanCyprus is a customized application that presents indications of the validity of the certificate, applying the criteria set by the Republic of Cyprus.
It is also recalled that a prerequisite for ensuring reliable and valid control indications / results is (a) an upgrade to the latest available version of CovScan through the device settings and (b) an update of the National Key Control Rules ( Trusted Public Keys). The last date and time of the update is indicated at the end of the Settings - Settings of the application, under Reload - Reload.
