Determining national exposure limits for radio frequency electromagnetic fields

The Ministry of Health has set up a Working Group of Experts on non-ionizing radiation for setting national limits for public exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields, always in accordance with the guidelines of the Council of the European Union. The experts had their first meeting on Wednesday 17 November.

An announcement from the Ministry of Health states that the aim of the Expert Action Group is to study of data and exchange of views and know-how, so that it is possible to solve problems, defend public health, and the correct and valid information of the public on issues of non-ionizing radiation.

The team consists of Officers of the Medical Services and Public Health Services of the Ministry of Health, representatives of OKYPY, members of the Pancyprian Medical Association, academics, representatives of the Association of Medical Physics and Bio-Medical Engineers of Cyprus, and
