A suspicious case of coronavirus has reached Cyprus and concerns a woman of Chinese origin who lives permanently in Cyprus and had visited China two weeks ago.
The woman was reportedly on a flight from Moscow to Larnaca when she developed a high fever and other symptoms of the virus.
As soon as the plane landed at Larnaca airport, it was called to undergo all the necessary examinations based on the protocols drawn up by the Ministry of Health.
An official announcement from the Ministry of Health is expected later.
The same aircraft had 85 passengers and a crew of six. Everyone has completed a relevant document, as provided by the Ministry in this case.
Also, the crew, and those passengers who were sitting in two rows in front, next to and behind the woman but also some people who had also traveled to China will be examined as a precaution.
The woman will remain in a special unit of the Nicosia Hospital until the results of the examinations.
