The "agricultural" of Mercedes-Benz is a product of Mercedes' cooperation with the Renault-Nissan consortium and its production is expected to start in 2020 in the factories of Cordoba in Argentina and Barcelona in Spain.
The two companies, Mercedes and Nissan have long announced that they will work together since the Japanese brand already has in its range the highly successful Navara. The German model will be developed and designed by Daimler, to meet the needs of its customers, while it will have all the features of Mercedes-Benz and the Navara floor.
According to Daimler President Dr. Dieter Zetsche is a rapidly rising category and thanks to the Renault-Nissan partnership, production time and costs will be drastically reduced.
On the other hand, the CEO of Renault-Nissan, Mr. Carlos Ghosn, pointed out that this project will allow the optimization of the production capacity of the factories.
The Mercedes pick-up will be a global product as it will be sold in addition to Europe and the USA, Latin America, South Africa and Australia.
The latest news comes from Daimler board member Thomas Weber, who talks about the first, truly premium / luxury pick up, which he will bring under the hood of the German brand motor.
