It is pointed out that the purpose of these messages is the collection of personal data and what is supported in their content in any case does not correspond to reality.
A recent example of such a fake message is an email that misleads Microsoft into conducting paid research. To participate in this alleged investigation, users are asked to forward this message to their personal contacts, and then they are encouraged to send their personal information in order to receive their alleged remuneration.
Microsoft Hellas clarifies that the company has absolutely nothing to do with these fake messages and invites Internet users, who may receive them, to ignore them and proceed to their immediate deletion. Users should be very careful when filling in and sending their personal data, and they should keep in mind that attachments should not be opened by unknown recipients.
