The findings of the Auditor General on mismanagement are rejected by the Commissioner for Legislation and Protection of the Rights of the Child, Lida Koursoumba.
In a statement, he regrets that, as he notes, the Auditor General did not include in his report what he informed him by mail.
He also points out that the impression is still wrong that the audit concerned a Service, noting that the Office of the Commissioner for Legislation and the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of the Child are two completely different institutions and operate autonomously.
Consequently, it is emphasized in Mrs Koursoumba's statement that what is very briefly stated in the Report does not correspond to the real facts and, therefore, any findings are based on an incorrect factual and legal basis.
