Inter-channel interview of the 5 main candidates

The inter-channel discussion of the five main candidates for the presidency of the Republic is taking place tonight, in studio 3 of RIK.

The candidates for the presidency, Nikos Anastasiadis, Nikolas Papadopoulos, Stavros Malas, George Lillikas and Christos Christou, participate in the inter-channel interview.
Five journalists from the TV channels RIK, Antenna, TV-One, Sigma and Alpha, will ask them questions about the Cyprus issue and internal governance.
The rules for Trans-Channel were agreed at meetings of the five-channel news directors and representatives of the five candidates' staffs.
According to the procedure, the discussion will have two rounds, each of which will last about 55 minutes.
The first round is dedicated to the Cyprus issue, foreign policy and energy issues and the second to internal governance.
Each round includes two rounds of questions to the candidates.
In total the candidates will answer two questions for each round. Each answer can take up to two minutes, followed by a question from the journalist who asked the question, the answer to which should not exceed one minute. At the end of each round of five questions, each candidate has two minutes to comment on what was said during their opponents' answers.
The order of the journalists who will ask the questions was decided after a draw. Each journalist will ask a total of four questions.
According to the schedule, the inter-channel interview will start at nine and five and will end at eleven and fifteen.
The main RIK News Bulletin will be connected directly to the space outside the studio Tria, to broadcast the arrivals of the candidates and their possible statements. Immediately after the end of the discussion, a special show will be broadcast to evaluate the interview, with representatives of the candidates and coordinator Stella Michael.
RIK will be represented on the inter-channel by the Director of News and Current Affairs, Panikos Hatzipanagis.
