The government has denounced to the United Nations and permanent members of the Security Council Turkey's stance against Africa, calling for action to protect journalists and freedom of the press and expression in the Turkish-occupied region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will raise the issue with European institutions responsible for freedom of the press.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed strong concern over the incidents that unfolded this morning against Africa.
He stressed that they followed the instigation of the President of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, to his brothers in the occupied territories to give the necessary response to Africa, which criticized the Turkish invasion of Syria.
The Government unequivocally condemns the action of Tayyip Erdogan and its aftermath in occupied Cyprus.
