The Turkish Nafteks have been canceled and no one gives them legitimacy, said Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulidis, adding that the continuation of Cyprus' energy plans is the best response to Turkey.
He noted that the results of the drilling, which is in progress in block six of the Cyprus Aoz, are expected soon. Asked if the results will come out between the first and second rounds of the presidential election, Mr. Christodoulidis replied that this depends exclusively on the company that conducts the drilling.
Referring to the attack on the Turkish Cypriot newspaper Africa, Mr Christodoulidis said the government was moving at European level, noting that President Anastasiadis was expected to raise the issue at next month's emergency European Council.
