The status of the no-fly zone remains unchanged, the press representative of the United Nations peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), Alim Siddique, told KYPE on Wednesday, in relation to reports of work in the no-fly zone in the Denia area.
Mr. Siddique told KYPE, in relation to local reports, that they are aware of reports of construction activity north of Denia, outside the United Nations neutral zone.
"We are in contact with the local community leader to reassure him that the status of the neutral zone remains unchanged," he added. UNFICYP is closely monitoring the region to prevent any tensions, Mr Siddiq added.
