The Personal Envoy of the Secretary General of the UN, Maria Angela Holguin Queillar, will be in Cyprus around March 11 or 12, according to information from the KYPE.
For this reason, Ms. Holguin will not attend an event of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus for the 60 years of the Force, scheduled for March 4.
Ms. Holgin is expected to go to London in the first week of March, as she said in a statement, and then she will return to Cyprus for new meetings with the leaders of the two communities.
As he had said, my next trip "will start in London in the first week of March to complete the circle of contacts with the guarantor powers. I will then return to Cyprus, where I hope to meet with leaders of political parties, representatives of society, as well as representatives of chambers of commerce and economy, while I will speak again with the E/K and T/K leaders."
As informed by KYPE, the leaders of the two communities will be invited to the event on March 4, although they are not expected to attend due to other commitments. However, from UNFICYP's point of view, attention will be focused on the presence of representatives from civil society and diplomats based in Cyprus.
