President Anastasiadis presented his governance program for the next five years on the internet.
In a post on his personal Facebook page, the President of the Republic states that he is running for a second and final term, adding that in the last five years all Cypriots have made a huge effort to save the country. With sacrifices, stubbornness and wisdom, he says, we lifted Cyprus out of the quagmire and put it back on a path of development.
Recognizing that there are still serious problems that require solutions, Nikos Anastasiadis, calls for the renewal of the popular mandate, claiming a second and last term in order to complete the work that has begun for Cyprus in the new era.
He emphasizes that in the Cypriot society, determined to overcome the obstacles and if it rises proudly again, they do not deserve new setbacks, nor new experiments and adventures.
In the governance program, among other things, special reference is made to the economic performance which, as it is pointed out, have exceeded even the most optimistic forecasts, in the GESY, the implementation of which, it is emphasized, proceeds with determination, but also in the energy plans.
Regarding the Cyprus issue, Nikos Anastasiadis says that we have come closer than ever to an honest compromise, emphasizing that he claims a normal state, away from guardians, guarantors and gendarmes.
