Insulting slogans on the wall of a polling station in Xylotympou and photographing ballots in Dromolaxia, marked today's election process in Larnaca.

As the Superintendent of the Larnaca constituency, Prefect Odysseas Hadjistefanou, stated to KYPE, "around 06.00 in the morning, three insulting slogans were found in the Primary School of Xylotympos, which functions as a polling station, written outside the wall of the toilet. which is very big and insulting ".

He added that "as soon as we were informed about the incident, we instructed the Mayor to either take over the Community Council to extinguish the slogans, or to send a crew to take this action. The Common Leader replied that he would settle the matter, he sent a crew which erased the insulting slogans ".

According to Mr. Hadjistefanou "in four cases in the polling stations of Dromolaxia F and Z, voters photographed their ballot paper. The offenders were immediately reported to the Police and after being charged in writing, they were released to be summoned later before a Court ".

He also stated that "apart from the specific incidents, the electoral process in the entire Larnaca constituency has been running smoothly since the morning."
