Samsung introduces the new Smartphone GamePad and Mobile Console application, in order to enhance the gaming experience on the Galaxy series devices.
The Samsung GamePad Smartphone offers consumers a fun, comfortable and advanced gaming experience, anywhere, anytime.
With the GamePad Smartphone, the user's Galaxy smartphone or tablet, they instantly turn into a portable, or even home, gaming console. The device has a premium design, can be carried very easily, while it is made with a steel frame. The GamePad adapts to portable devices up to 4 to 6,3 inches, allowing users to play games wherever they are. Also, by connecting their Galaxy device to the TV, either via HDMI cable or via the AllShare Screen Mirroring app, they can enjoy a gaming console-level gaming experience directly in their living room.
The GamePad easily connects to smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth. Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 4.3, such as the Note 3, S4, Note II and S III, connect directly to the GamePad via NFC and have faster access to games via the "PLAY" button.
By pressing the "PLAY" button, users can use the Mobile Console application, which, in conjunction with the GamePad, allows convenient navigation in the game library supported by the controller, as well as their purchase. Users save money by enjoying console-level games at no extra cost for gaming systems. The Mobile Console app has games in different categories: from traditional racing titles such as EA's Need for SpeedTM Most Wanted and Asphalt8: Gameloft's Airborne, FPS titles such as Gameloft's Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, sports titles such as Virtua SEGA TennisTM Challenge and action titles such as Ubisoft Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame.
The Mobile Console application is available in Samsung Apps for downloading or by pressing the "PLAY" button on the GamePad. With the launch, there will be 35 games available, and even more will be released in 2014.
The GamePad is currently being released in specific European markets, and will be available in even more in the coming weeks. It will be released in Greece at the beginning of 2014.
