The next generation Mercedes C-Class (W205) is expected to be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014, being larger in size and with a more dynamic design than the current generation, as we can see from the spy-made electronically processed images that you we present.

In the new generation of the C-Class, Mercedes "invests" in the design and prepares to bring us its most impressive mid-size model of all time. So as our spies reveal to us, the new mid-size model will get design elements from a four-door coupe (like the CLA for example). Of course, design influences will also be present in the new A-Class & B-Class.

In terms of dimensions, the latest information speaks of a slight increase in length, wheelbase and width, something for which the new platform of the model will be "responsible". Also, despite this increase, it is a given that we will have the most aerodynamic C-Class in history, with the immediate goal of improving aerodynamics and thus reducing consumption and CO2 emissions.

With new motor and platform

The next generation Mercedes C-Class will be based on a new Mercedes platform, the famous "MRA". This is the brand's new rear floor, which will equip a number of new - and large in size - models, including the next S-Class. A feature of this floor is that it will help reduce the weight of all these cars, including the next C-Class. As with the current generation, we expect the model to be launched again in sedan, coupe and station wagon versions.

In the engines, we will have the new 2 liter turbo gasoline engine of 184 and 211 hp, while a new version of this engine with over 250 hp will supply the new Mercedes C300. It is possible that there will be a 1,6 turbo with 150 hp of the A / B-Class. At the top of the range we will find a 3 liter twin-turbo with 330 hp, while the AMG versions will get a new 5,5 liter twin-turbo with an output of over 450 hp! We also expect the use of small diesel engines.

The presentation and launch of the model is expected in 2014, with Mercedes officials stating that it will be manufactured in 4 production units of the brand at the same time (Bremen, Germany, East London, South Africa, Beijing, China and Tuscaloosa, USA). .
