If you have decided to arrange your summer vacation τελευταία at the last minute, you want to travel to a destination outside Cyprus and you think it is too late to book tickets, as all destinations are very expensive, you are wrong.
Browsing, in search engines mainly for the month of August, the newspaper «LIBERAL» identified various opportunities. If you want to travel to Greece, to a European destination or to a neighboring Middle Eastern country, you can find the one that suits you and travel economically, if you book your tickets now.
In fact, if you have the opportunity to travel towards the end of the summer, you are lucky, as at the end of August, the lowest ticket prices are identified. It is also worth noting that it is better to buy your tickets in the middle of the week, Tuesday or Wednesday, as ticket prices are usually lower.
First, looking for the lowest prices for the whole month of August, we found typical flight:
- with EUR 15 for Varna, Bulgaria on 29 August,
- with EUR 23 for Amman, Jordan on 28 August,
- with 33 euros for Thessaloniki on August 27,
- with EUR 34 for Hungary on 29 August,
- with 35 euros for Stockholm on 28 August and
- with 48 euros for Bucharest on August 29th.
There are still very cheap flights to Bratislava and specifically with 51 euros for August 27, while on the same day you can "fly" to Riga, with 53 euros.
There are also cheap tickets for the beginning of August, as as we discovered, on the 1st of August we can "fly" with 55 euros for London and on the 3rd of August with 35 euros for Bournemouth in Britain. On August 2 we can still leave for Rome for 48 euros.
Please note that the above prices apply for non-return flights.
At the same time, we searched for ticket prices for return flights, for the period from the end of July to the beginning of August.
Specifically, by searching for the period 29/07/2019 with a return on 02/08/2019, we identified the following opportunities:
A) Bulgaria
You can travel to Sofia (Bulgaria) with 80 euros from Larnaca return, while from Paphos you "fly" to Sofia with 123 euros return.
B) Greece
You also have the opportunity to travel to Thessaloniki from Larnaca, with the total amount of 161 euros and for Athens with the total amount of 156 euros, return.
C) Britain
If you want to spend your holiday in London, you can do so for a total of € 199 return.
D) Lebanon
If you still want to spend a holiday in Beirut, Lebanon, then you have to pay 153 euros return.
E) Romania
If you still want to go to Bucharest, you have the opportunity to do so for a total of 172 euros.
F) Russia
You travel to Moscow for a total of 193 euros.
G) Israel
For Tel Aviv again you will spend 195 euros.
Slightly more expensive, but relatively affordable destinations, with the total amount of tickets not exceeding 300 euros return, for the same period are: Malta with 226 euros, Ukraine with 229, the Czech Republic with 230, Hungary with 231, Lithuania and Poland with 240, Belgium with 254, Jordan with 267, Denmark with 279, Germany with 295 and Latvia with 298 euros.
Please note that if you travel the day before or the day after, you can find even cheaper rates or different affordable destinations, so it is worthwhile, if you can, to be more flexible in your search.
For example, by changing our departure date by one day, and specifically looking for destinations to depart on July 30 and return on August 02, we found the following:
A) As for Greece, for Thessaloniki, instead of 161 euros that we would spend if we traveled on July 29, we will spend the total amount of 130 euros, if we leave a day later, while the destination of Rhodes is added, with 147 euros after Return.
B) In the case of Israel, the total amount is 168 euros per person instead of 195 euros that we would have spent if we had traveled a day earlier.
C) For London again, the total amount is 187 euros instead of 199 euros that we would give if we "flew" a day earlier.
Destinations for the week of August XNUMXth
If you still want to vacation during the week of August XNUMXth, ticket prices go up, but again, you can find something.
Specifically for departure on August 12, returning on August 16, you can travel to: Sofia with 164 euros, Beirut with 193, London with 200 euros, Vilnius (Lithuania) with 205 euros, Vienna with 210, Tel Aviv with 216, Budapest with 219, Athens and Kiev with 224, Frankfurt and Lucca (Malta) with 226 euros , Bucharest with 237 euros, Warsaw with 239 and Moscow 242 and Paris with 269 euros. Please note that the above prices include both return tickets.
