Cypriot travelers choose Greece and its enchanting islands for their holidays both during the three days of May Day and during the summer.
Despite the increases in air tickets, Cypriot travelers are not deterred as bookings have already started for the summer season as well.
Speaking to SigmaLive, the President of Travel Agents, Vassilis Stamataris, said that there is traffic for the three days of May Day, while bookings for the summer have also started.
Initially, he mentioned that there is quite a lot of interest for May Day, while for the summer season, as he pointed out, phone calls and bookings have started.
When asked about the increased cost of the prices he said that we should not compare the packages. "The packages that are created ensure affordable prices because seats and rooms are pre-purchased, thus ensuring a more reasonable package.
When we say that the prices are more expensive it is because there is a high demand for travel in general on a daily basis. People visit for short getaways, business and other purposes and the planes are full, so the prices are higher.
Later, when asked about the preferences of Cypriot travelers, he said that Greece always has the first place in all regions. "The remaining regions are Central Europe. The Paris market has also opened with direct flights, it is a destination of interest to Cypriots, especially families with small children."
In closing, he emphasized that the traveling public in other European countries is also enriched.
