Cyprus with 50 exhibitors at the World Travel Market in London

With a renewed appearance of its stands, Cyprus participates again this year in the big World Travel Market of London (World Travel Market) in the Excel exhibition space.

 
In total, more than 50 co-authors, businessmen and tourism operators, have the opportunity from today until Wednesday to present their products and services and make important contacts in view of the next tourist season.
 
Present at the exhibition and in meetings with airlines and travel organizers will be the Minister of Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism George Lakkotrypis, who is expected in the British capital late Monday afternoon due to the delay of the plane that will transport him to London.
 
Also present at the exhibition are the President of CTO Angelos Loizou and the Deputy General Manager of the Organization Marinos Menelaou.
 
Mr. Lakkotrypis will have the opportunity to address the situation and prospects of Cypriot tourism at a press conference on Tuesday, while in the evening of the same day the Cypriot delegation will participate in a networking event with businessmen from the United Kingdom.
 
According to data presented by the CTO in the World Travel Market, during the period January-September 2017 Cyprus received 3.001.603 visitors, a number improved by 14,7% compared to the corresponding nine months last year.
 
Of these, 1.039.783 visitors came from the United Kingdom (a slight increase of 8,9% compared to last year).
 
In September alone, arrivals reached 483.716, up 14,8% from September last year.
