The project will include sidewalks, bike path, playgrounds, docks, platform and square space, beachvolley courts, and beachsoccer, a unique for Cyprus data skatepark and much more.
The goal, according to the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Giannis Karousos, is "the whole coastal front of Ayia Napa to unite in a unique way so that both our visitors and residents enjoy it."
This, said Mr. Karousos, is another project which was included in the announcements of the President of the Republic for the Province of Famagusta, which is beginning to be implemented. It is important for us to see the proclamations being implemented.
The entire first phase, with a total cost of 3.5 million, is part of a total of 6.5 million euros.
In his announcement, the Mayor of Ayia Napa thanked the President of the Republic and the Government, as well as the Minister of Interior, who acknowledged, as he mentioned, the importance of Ayia Napa in the economy of this place and the fact that the city hosts more than 4 million overnight stays per year and made the necessary announcements in support of the city and tourism.
Every euro of infrastructure projects for Ayia Napa, Mr. Karousos underlined, will have multiple returns to the state through tourism and that the Strategy of integrated tourism experience continues, through the major infrastructure projects in our city such as the coastal front and the marina .
