The top football players of the 2021/22 season were again nominated this year at the "PASP FOOTBALL AWARDS" football awards that took place on the night of Thursday, May 12, at Monte Caputo in Limassol and were broadcast live by Cablenet!
It was a brilliant evening with presenters Louis Patsalidis and Andrea Kafa, while Valanto Tryfonos entertained the audience at the artistic part.
On top eleven of the Championship, which were chosen through an electoral process by the players themselves, consisted of Aleksandar Jovanovic (Apollon), Facundo Zabala (APOEL), Valentin Roberge (Apollon), Gordon Schildenfeld (Aris), Hovhannes Hambardzumyan (Anorthosis), Kostakis Artymatas (Anorthosis), Kingsley Sarfo (APOEL), Amr Warda (Anorthosis), Jairo Da Silva (Paphos), Giorgi Kvilitaia (APOEL) and Ivan Trickovski (AEK).
Amr Warda (Anorthosis) became the MVP of the season and was awarded by Unicars, as he was one of only 3 footballers to receive more than 50% of the footballers' vote and at the same time the first in the international InStat index by footballers of the Top Eleven.
The coach of APOEL, Sofronis Augousti, with a percentage of 38% came first in the votes of the football players, having twice the difference of votes from the second and thus received from Cablenet the award of the Top Coach!
Top Newcomer of our Championship, Marinos Tzionis, who, continuing his amazing performances from last year, was rewarded in the middle of the season with a big transfer. Marinos won the votes of fans, committees and players!
Also awarded by Stoiximan, in turn Vana Alves (Aris), Alaksandar Jovanovic (Apollon) and Giorgi Loria (Anorthosis) for the top three saves and Fotis Papoulis (Omonia), Jan Lecjaks (Omonia) and Nico Varela (PAEEK) ) for the top goals, of the First Phase of the Championship, after a vote of the fans on the website of PA.SP., of the special committee and of the candidate football players themselves.
The honorary awards received by Christiana Solomou, Konstantina Pafiti, Antonis Giorgallidis and Lefteris Mertakkas as a sign of gratitude from PA.S.P. for their great offer to Cypriot football and our National team. The top scorers in their championships, Krystyna Freda (Apollon Ladies) and Dimitris Spyridakis (Omonia U19) also received their awards.
Finally, through the voting of the footballers, the second top eleven was presented, which consists of Vana Alves (Aris), Anderson Correia (Anorthosis), Nenad Tomovic (AEK), Marios Antoniadis (Anorthosis), Steeve Yago (Aris), Israel Coll (Apollon), Gus Ledes (AEK), Matija Spoljaric (Aris), Onni Valakari (Paphos), Mariusz Stepinksi (Aris) and Lazaros Christodoulopoulos (Anorthosis).

In a post on social media, Kostakis Artymatas and Lefteris Mertakkas referred to their award.
Specifically, the leader of Anorthosis, Kostakis Artymatas, stated:
"I have never been a fan of individual awards because football is such a team sport. There are so many things to do about playing, defending and scoring goals. It has to do with teammates and coaches, trusting each other and working together.
