The Community Council of Liopetri, in the context of promoting agricultural products, produced in the community of Liopetri, is planning a Pancyprian Carrot Festival on Friday, July 27, 2018. The festival, which will take place at the Community Stadium "ACHYRON" of Liopetri will start at 8 p.m. and admission will be free.
There will be kiosks in the festival area, where products will be sold, with carrot as the main ingredient, such as dessert and jam, carrot cakes (individual and family), donuts with carrot cream, croissants with carrot jam, donuts with carrot, carrot ice cream and carrot syrup for ice cream. Carrot juice and cocktails will also be sold. At the same time there will be kiosks with skewers, hot dogs with koshou salad, pickled carrots, fried carrots with eggs, crepes, popcorn and various drinks.
A special place in the festival will have executive chefs of the community with groups of cooks, with gourmet creations, with carrot as the main material. All visitors will have the opportunity to try, for free, all the gourmet creations of chefs and cooks, which will be offered by the Community Council of Liopetri. Thus, the event will have the opportunity to highlight and promote the gastronomy associated with the carrot.
At the same time, the event will offer the possibility of entertainment with a four-hour music program, in which Costa Doxas, Tina Kazi and Giannis Sofilas will be presented.
The festival is under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis.
