The grace of the Wood Eater's potato has reached Sweden. According to a report by Phileleftheros, a journalist from Sweden, whose area also has a potato monument, was looking for the Head of the Community, George Tassos, in order to talk about the Cypriot monument.
The community leader Georgios Tassou spoke to Protoselidos on the morning of Thursday 21/12 stating that the journalist from Sweden asked him for photos and videos of the Potato of Xylofagos.
When asked why the community's potato was not decorated for Christmas, the community leader said that it was not decorated to come back to the limelight.
According to the publication, the Xylofagos potato is now a registered trademark on Google Maps. The community leader also revealed that he is also preparing a new exhibit in the village without mentioning more at this stage.
