BBC journalist Rachel Blunt was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago.

"She was incredibly talented, a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, niece, husband and above all mother of little Freddie. We are all proud of the work she has done since she was diagnosed and the battle she has fought to end the social stigma of cancer patients, proving that you can live life to the fullest even when you face enormous difficulties on a daily basis. And in the end, even when her body was weak, her voice was loud. "It was perfect and we will miss it so much that words cannot describe it," he wrote in the caption of a photo they shared.
The most moving thing, of course, is that Rachel Blunt made sure to be present in the next years in the life of her 2-year-old - today - son. As it became known, she took gifts from him until his 2nd birthday, while he left instructions to her husband's sister on how she would like her son to grow up.
