Seven full years have passed since that bloody night in September. It was the pivotal moment when the last mask of Golden Dawn collapsed. We are now just a few days before the court issues its decision. A decision that will clearly concern the criminal part of a case related to the activities of a criminal organization.
The political side has been judged for a very long time. The vast majority of citizens (whether they consider themselves anti-fascists or not) turned their backs on this formation. A few fanatics and unrepentant remained on the side of its executives Golden Dawn. Or at least what is left as, as is well known, when the ship sinks the mice leave it first.
All this time it turned out to be the knife of the golden age Rupakia may deprived of life by Pavlos Fyssas but at the same time dealt a significant (probably final) blow to the flesh of the neo-Nazi formation.
Who knows; Perhaps if the goldsmiths themselves had known everything that followed, they would never have rushed within 55 minutes to form a death squad to kill a young man who, as it turned out, had been targeted because of his anti-fascist activities.
There was a lot of talk in the first hours after his murder Paul Fussa about whether the well-known antifascist musician had some kind of dispute with the goldsmiths who happened to be in the "Coralli" cafeteria.
It soon became clear, however, that nothing like this had happened. None of the patrons or employees of the store said such a thing in the deposits they gave. Pavlos and his company had gone there to watch the match between Olympiakos and Paris Saint-Germain for the Champions League groups.
Unfortunately, there were also three goldsmiths known for their actions. One of them was leaving the store when Fyssas entered. She saw him. Understand who he is and from there on the countdown began. No tsaboukas. No cursing. These were goldsmiths and Paul was a well-known musician in her world hip hop, who did not hide his hatred and disgust for the Golden Dawn and anything fascist or racist. Two rival camps inside a shop.
That was enough. Paul was targeted by members of the organization who acted too quickly and in unison. Fyssas had to stop talking through his songs.
Much has been said in the trial of the accused gold diggers. Much evidence was given of the actions of the Golden Dawn members at that time in Nice, Perama and Piraeus in general.
Perhaps most important of all, however, is the analysis of the sms exchanged between the members of the organization that night. What emerged from what was presented in court is creepy: It took about 55 minutes to form the assault battalion that, in front of Roupakias, killed Pavlos Fyssas.
According to what emerged from the police preliminary investigation and what was heard and has been submitted to the court, the three gold diggers who were inside "Coralli" were: Aggos, Tsalikis and Michalaros. The latter was the one who came face to face with Fyssas's company at the entrance of the store.
Shortly before 11 pm (and while the football match is now in progress) Fyssas's team sees intense mobility on the part of the goldsmiths who seem to be no longer involved in the development of their matches.
At 23:03 the countdown begins. At that time the first phone calls are made and the first sms are sent. At 23:19, Aggos called Kazatzoglou (responsible for political action and member of the five-member local Nice).
Apparently she informed him about Paul's presence in the cafeteria. Two minutes later (23:21) Kazatzoglou calls the "nuclear chief" of Nice, Patelis. He in turn, about four minutes later (23:26) informs Giannis Lagos. After this hierarchical process had been followed and after the completion of his conversation with Lagos, Patelis sends at 23:28 a message to the members of the organization: "All those of you who are now close to Nice… we will not wait far. Now".
At 23:32, the goldsmith Georgios Dimou calls Roupakias and three minutes later (at 23:35) he calls Kazatzoglou and the next minute (23:36) he contacts Dimou again.
Phone calls and SMS continue with the same intensity for the next, approximately, 15 minutes. The time has now reached 23:50 and the communications between the members of the organization are diluting to the maximum extent something which (according to both the police officers who investigated the case and the lawyers of the Fyssas family) clearly shows that, now, the raiding battalions of the Golden Dawn had gathered in the local of Nice and was ready to rush to the "Coral".
At 23:58, that is, exactly 55 minutes after the first communication, the goldsmiths who have now been formed in an attack battalion and with convoys have arrived from the local of Nice outside "Coralli" carry out the attack on Pavlos Fyssas and his company.
"The aforementioned communicate with other people - users of telephone connections, which seem to converge later in the geographical area in question," the report said. Counter-Terrorism Service.
By 00:05 there is a gap of about seven minutes in communication between them. This is exactly the time of the attack. The time of the murder of "Killah P" was determined at around 00:04.
Elsewhere, the Anti-Terrorist finding states that: "The connection number 69077… connection with subscriber data Lagos Ioannis, at 00:37 on September 18, 2013 receives an incoming text message (sms) from number 69077… connection with subscriber details Michaloliakos Nikolaos ".
Giannis Lagos contacts him by phone Nikos Michaloliakos and informs him of the murder. About 33 minutes after the deadly attack in Keratsini and now that Fyssas had left his last breath in the EKAB ambulance.
"It was a simple homicide and they made it a subject"! This is what the goldsmith Roupakias found to say in his apology, making everyone in the courtroom look at their neighbors with wonder to make sure that something like that was indeed said.
Seven years after the murder of Pavlos Fyssas, Greek justice will announce on October 7 its decision on whether the Golden Dawn action was part of a criminal organization or, as suggested by the prosecutor of the First Three-Member Criminal Court of Appeal, some of its members acted individually.
The trial began on April 20, 2015. 453 hearings were held. 131 prosecution witnesses, 16 civil action witnesses and 69 defense witnesses were examined.
In addition to the crime of article 187 (criminal organization) and the murder of Pavlos Fyssas, the attempted murder of the Egyptian fisherman Abuzid Ebarak by members of the Golden Dawn in Perama and the attempted murder of his executives were joined. KKE and members of PAME. The massive case file contained dozens of bloody attacks by the organization.
Her time Justice, so it is approaching. Already the people with their vote, made their own "decision", throwing the neo-Nazi formation out of the parliament and essentially led it one step before the final dissolution.
Whatever the court decision, however, nothing will be judged. As, after all, wrote Albert Camus at the end of his clearly allegorical and highly anti-fascist book "The Plague":
