A patient describes what it is like to get coronavirus

Exhausted from the battle with him coronavirus and unable to even speak says 32-year-old James Cai, a health worker in New Jersey, who was the first coronavirus case in the state.

In a text message to the New York Post, Cai said he could not even speak because his body was still exhausted from its "battle" with the dangerous virus.

"My lungs are still very weak. "I may need days of recovery after a discussion," he explained.

The 32-year-old described how he "is constantly getting worse" since being admitted to Hackensack University Medical Center last week.

Although he had no other underlying diseases, Cai says he is struggling with the virus, which has caused him various symptoms.

"The virus brings everything," he said. "Diarrhea, running eyes, chest pain, whatever you think. High fever… It gets worse every day »

Cai says he believes the virus was transmitted when he attended a medical conference at a Times Square hotel last weekend. He first visited an emergency care clinic and was then transferred to the ICU of Hackensack Hospital, where, according to the report, he is still being treated.

"It happened so fast," he says, warning that not everyone takes the epidemic seriously.

"People need to take coronavirus seriously. "He is very serious," he said.

More than 1.000 cases and 26 deaths from coronavirus have been reported in the United States.
