The right of the beneficiaries of the General Health System to change a personal doctor, if they wish, was renewed once again. A basic condition, of course, is that they have completed three months of registration in the list of their existing doctor.
The board of directors of the Health Insurance Organization took a decision at its last meeting, examining the data as they have been formed since October 1, when it was given for the first time the right to change personal doctor every quarter and not every six months, as provided by law. .
Specifically, as reported by "F", from October until the end of December, more than 150.000 beneficiaries of the General Health System had changed to a general doctor for adults or a pediatrician, out of a total of 770.000 beneficiaries registered in the GESS.
