Famagusta: 1 citizen complaint for non-implementation of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus

Across Cyprus, 29 complaints were made by citizens

In the last 29 hours, the Police proceeded with 24 complaints from citizens, 24 of which concerned the non-use of a mask, during the inspections carried out in compliance with the measures and decrees to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Specifically, as a representative of the Police press office stated in KYPE, in the last 24 hours 1792 checks were carried out in Cyprus and 29 citizens were reported and no premises were reported. Of these complaints, 18 concerned the non-use of a mask outdoors, 5 the non-use of a mask inside the premises and another for non-use of a mask inside a vehicle. The other 5 complaints concerned violation of the allowed traffic hours in Limassol.

In relation to the provinces, 222 inspections were carried out in Nicosia and 4 citizens were reported, in Limassol 271 inspections were carried out out of which 9 complaints were made, in Larnaca out of 447 inspections 10 complaints were made, in Paphos out of 304 inspections 3 complaints were made, in free province of Famagusta 418 checks were made with one citizen complaint and in the province of Morphou out of 107 checks 2 citizens were reported.

Finally, the Port Police checks did not reveal any complaints.
