In the last 947 hours, the Police carried out a total of 24 inspections in Cyprus regarding the compliance of businesses and citizens with the ministerial decrees in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
According to a representative of the Police Press Office, during the inspections, its members made a total of 4 complaints of premises and 17 complaints of citizens for violations of the law and the relevant decrees that mainly concern the use of the protective mask.
More specifically, in the province of Nicosia 252 inspections were carried out and 3 complaints of citizens emerged, in the province of Limassol 110 inspections were carried out with one citizen complaint, in Larnaca province 189 inspections with two complaints of premises and 3 complaints of citizens, in Paphos province 106 inspections were carried out with 2 and 3 complaints of citizens, in Famagusta 195 inspections which resulted in 5 complaints of citizens and in the area of Morfos 60 inspections were carried out with 2 complaints of citizens.
Also, 35 checks were carried out by the Port and Maritime Police without any complaints.
